OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Coulter Cleland, Davidson
(So., QB, Racine, Ohio)
Making his second start at quarterback, Cleland threw for five touchdowns as Davidson downed Marist 49-21 in the PFL opener Saturday. He completed 17-of-21 passes for 303 yards, with touchdown tosses to five different receivers and completions to 11 receivers. Cleland became the first Davidson quarterback to pass for 300-plus yards since 2014 and the fourth in program history to toss five touchdown passes. He also marshaled the Wildcats to their first win against Marist since 2010.

DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Nick Bafia, Butler
(Jr., DB, Naperville, Illinois)
Bafia’s 66-yard interception return for a touchdown capped the day’s scoring as Butler defeated Wabash 47-21 in nonconference action Saturday. The Bulldogs defense back had a busy day, finishing with a team-leading 11 tackles (eight solo), 1.5 tackles for loss, and forced a fumble on Wabash’s first play from scrimmage.

SPECIAL TEAMS PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Mack Mikko, Presbyterian
(Fr., K, Newman, Georgia)
Mikko scored 11 points as Presbyterian rallied to a 23-20 victory at Wofford in nonconference action Saturday. He made three of his five field goals, connecting from 41, 32, and 37 yards, and both his PATs. Mikko’s 37-yard field goal kickstarted the Blue Hose’s 10-point fourth-quarter rally as they defeated the Terriers for the first time since 1994.
